Cut | Make | Trim.

The Craft Behind Every Garment

We don’t just make clothes — we bring your ideas to life with precision, passion, and care.

What is CMT? How It Works

CMT stands for Cut, Make, Trim – the three main stages of garment production.
At GFS Fashion House, we’ve simplified this process into three clear steps so you know exactly what to expect.

1
Submit Your Design

You bring the vision — we bring the craft. This could be:

1. A detailed sketch or digital design

2. A physical sample you want reproduced

3. Inspiration images with notes on fabrics, colours, and fit

We’ll review your concept, confirm the technical requirements, and agree on the production plan.

2
We Cut, Make & Trim

Once your design is approved:

1. Cut: We precisely cut your chosen fabric according to your pattern.

2. Make: Skilled machinists sew the garment together, shaping it exactly as designed.
3. Trim: We add finishing details — hems, buttons, zips, labels — and clean up any excess threads.

Whether you’re producing school uniforms in Cape Town, corporate wear in Johannesburg, or fashion pieces in Durban, our CMT process ensures consistent quality across every order.

3
Quality Assurance

Before your garments leave our workshop, they go through a strict quality control process:

1. Measurements are double-checked against your original specifications
2. Stitching and finishing are inspected for durability and appearance
3. Garments are pressed, packaged, and prepared for delivery

We then deliver your order on time, whether you’re in Pretoria, Port Elizabeth, or anywhere else in South Africa.
